Grammy Phyl was able to spend a few days with us this past week. She was able to watch Jace a few mornings while I worked which was nice. We shopped, ate and basically just had a good time visiting.

For Halloween this year Jace went as the Tin Man, Jaime a nerd, and Jilly as a Genie. Jaime headed off to Berlin Hts. to trick or treat while Jace and Jilly went with their cousins Trey and Erin here in Milan. Julia and her friends, Aubrey and Molly dressed up and headed around town to collect money for UNICEF. After trick or treating we head up to the school for costume judging. Grandma Jo's winning streak remains! Erin and Jilly both place first in their catagories while Jace place 3rd. Erin was the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz. Logan,Joelle's son, was the Cowardly Lion but he was unable to be there.

On Thursday we carved pumpkins! The kids had a blast. Julia at first said she was to old to carve pumpkins but I explained to her she only had 3 more years of pumpkin carving left so with a tear in her eye she gave in and carved one too. Jace had more fun putting his hand in the fish bowl than playing with the guts. Jaime and Jill were the eager ones and even helped clean up.

Jillian had recently celebrated her 10th birthday! She had a party with a few of her friends at the local stake rink. She has also just finished her soccer season, her team went undefeated! Now that soccer is over we aren't sure what she'll do, it was her 24/7!! HA. She also has been hanging out with her BFF Maddog Moyer (Madison) and has been regularly attending the football games at the High School. Jacey has been walking around lately carrying his "bumbum" (pumpkin) all over the house. Getting into the Halloween mood he is! He loves his vroomvrooms (trucks) and his animal books, we are trying to get him to reconize the certian animals. Hes getting so big and running all over the house. He is definently the girls entertainment lately!

Jaime has been very busy lately with school and choir. She really is enjoying middle school and is adapting pretty well. Report cards had been handed out and she has gotten all A's and one lonely B. But we are all still proud of how hard she has worked this first quarter of school. Jaime has also been "gettin' her head in the game" prepping for basketball season, she is so excited for her season to start.

Julia had just recently finished her cross country season last week. Just last night she had her banquet for the season, in which they handed out awards. Their head coach called all the freshman up to recieve their certificates and awards for the season. He called Julia's name and talked about her season for a little bit and said that she, my daughter, had recieved her first year varsity letter. To get the varsity letter for being a freshman is a great accomplisment and we are all so proud of her! Good Job Juju!
